Child Action Nepal was founded in April 2003 by Florence Krief and is a UK-registered charity.

 

CAN raises money to support small size orphanages (20 to 25 children max) in Nepal, with the aim of providing a family atmosphere for the children, providing them high quality education and healthcare.

 

The first house, Laliguraas Baal Uddhyaan (LBU), was established in Kathmandu in 2002 by Florence Krief, and is home to 20 children (10 boys and 10 girls). There's now a second home hosting almost 20 more orphans.
